As dog lovers the best thing we can do is to be an advocate. The more people we talk to about their needs and proper care, the better. People will always be influenced by the “perfect” dogs they see in movies or with celebrities… but by educating the people we come into contact with, hopefully some of those who might be inclined to follow a pet trend will think twice before doing so.
