KC & Cindy’s actual day wedding

Before this place gets all mouldy again, here’s a quick update on KC & Cindy’s actual day wedding! Enjoy! (:

Here’s the beautiful bride – Cindy! Pretty seldom we get to see brides with short hair for their wedding day. I guess a big part of the reason goes to the lack of variety in available choices of hairstyle. But in thise case, Cindy looks radiant and very refreshing!

I call this the reusable wrist corsages, cos this one actually has pearls and clips instead of the usual ones where we tie around the wrist with ribbons and dump them away after the wedding.

Here’s a sneak preview of how KC looks like! It’s actually a photo mug of the couple.

If Raymond and I have such photo mugs around our place, I guess it’ll burn a real big hole in our pocket. For times when we have fights and arguments, the photo mug would be a good target to vent our frustrations since we can’t vent it on each other. Hmm… maybe we’ll print out some enlargements of ourselves and throw darts at each other’s faces when we’re angry instead. Kekeke.

So sweet.

Evil sisters demanding “entry ticket” for their very own RIP gantry. Errr… I meant ERP gantry. Hehehe~

EEEEWW!! Evil sisters make poor brothers chew on Giant lollipops, together with Wasabi toothpaste to brush their teeth. Such deadly combo!!

And now for something auspicious – The RED UNDIES!! Must stare at this picture for a longer time because CNY is coming, and it is often said that red undies brings luck!

Somehow he reminds me of the cute cartoon character – Pucca. So cuuuute!

I think the ERP gantry rate just increased again. MUWAHAHAHAHA!

I like this picture! The kid holding the mic is damn awesome, and the handsome boy on the right creating a frame with his two fingers! Thankfully it’s two fingers, and not the one longest finger. :p

Hope you guys enjoyed this series! Raymond and I gotta return to work already! Been working through the night very dilligently with the photo editings until we’re able to catch the sunrise every single day. We don’t get to sleep till about 7+, and sometimes 9+am in the morning! Phew!!

Anyway, here’s a little piece of dry but interesting joke to share with everyone for the coming lunar new year + valentine’s day:

In my 26 years of life, I have never once received any love letters from anyone on Valentine’s Day. But this year, I’m finally receiving Love Letters on Valentine’s Day! =D

Gatecrashing Ideas – Inspiration, Tips & Tricks!

I was looking through some of the past and recent wedding images taken by Raymond, and I thought it’ll be interesting to do an entry on the different gatecrashing games played by the brothers and sisters from various weddings! I left out the common leg hair waxing and bikini stuffs, and here’s a short list of games to consider! Enjoy!

The Simple Games

Set a dress code, get all brothers to follow strictly. Appear for the gatecrashing with a happy spirit, do whatever you’re told to do by the lovely sisters and you’ll enjoy the happy day! Push ups are pretty common, but push ups are beneficial to your health, so why not? Make the brothers do 100 within 60 seconds! Perhaps with a bowl of eggs placed right below their tummy so that during the last few seconds when they cannot tahan anymore or cos they’re rushing to complete within time, they might land and crash on the eggs, or roll over to the side and bang into the brother next to them, and all of them fall like dominos. Muwahahahaha! You can replace eggs for ice, or water or flour, or anything you desire! (:

BYO- Bring Your Own

I think the brothers are smart enough to make it a Two Way Bargaining session. The brothers came prepared, brought their own suitcase of treasure with ang pows. No idea what’s the least and maximum amount in the ang pow, but the sister had to make a choice. Interestingggg…

Scary Foodies

Lemons are sourrrrr! How will lemon taste if you coat it with an extra layer of Citric Acid??? Muwahahahaha!! Maybe coat the lemon with citric acid, then rub it on any body part of one of the selected brother….. and…. the groom…. shall…. LICK IT CLEAN! Kekeke.

Speaking of Licking, here’s one of our all time favourite gatecrashing game. Guan Lim being the smart aleck, answered TOES to the sisters’ question of “Which part of Jeslin’s body is his favourite.” Tsk tsk tsk, and thus he had to lick off the whipped cream on the brother’s toes. Not all sisters are evil to think of tricky tricky questions to land you in trouble you know. Sometimes they meant well, no harm! :p

However there’s always the exception – the Evil sisters. They’ll mix and match the weirdest stuffs on earth like smelly rotten beancurd with perhaps wasabi or bananas or other gooey stuffs altogether. Eeeeew! But weird food stuffs are generally discouraged for fear that the groom and his merrymen will puke and shit in their pants. Don’t let this moment of “folly” spoil the whole day ya?

Playing on the groom’s fear might be good. Chilli padi or single food stuff are alright, just don’t mix, and don’t use food/drinks that you obviously know the poor groom has an allergy to.

The Innocent Games

Create something out of the things the groom really detest, and find ways to make it stay with the groom throughout the entire gate crashing! In this case, the groom really hates Mushroom, so the clever sisters made a super cute mushroom earing and headband for the groom to wear! Real mushrooms! Innocent enough, right?

Seal the Deal

Usually the sisters will help the bride prepare a pretty contract like this one, where the groom puts his signature and agree to all the terms and conditions stated on the contract. Conditions such as giving all the monthly salary and bonuses to the wife, promise not to be angry with each other at the end of the day if they ever quarrel, do housework blablala… which I think is pretty bogus! Cos after the couple put both their signature on the piece of paper call the marriage certificate, the terms and conditions stated on this contract automatically becomes invalid. So in order to prevernt such things from happening, engage a lawyer and have a reeeeal one made! :p

The OH-MY-OH-MY GOODNESS!!

Have you seen THIS?? Such a scary piece of…. CHOCOLATE!! It’s actually the leftover chocolate from the bride’s hen party the night before. This “creature” was not supposed to be shown and used and displayed to the world, until Yutong’s mummy suddenly thought of it and suggested that they make full use of this for the gate crashing!

A session with Susulini

Happy New Year!! For some people, the new year brings new hope. But for others, the new year is just a continuation of of the previous year. When I was screaming in delight while watching the fireworks bursting high up in the skies, I felt hopeful. Somehow the fireworks seemed to bring along with it fresh bursts of hope. Felt so encouraging and motivated for a moment. Sadly after the “show” has ended, there’s nothing left but clouds of smoke, and it smacked me back to reality. The new year is just a continuation of the previous year. Nothing’s new. What about you?

Anyway, some picture to share! Took them briefly when we went hunting on a gloomy cloudy drizzling day. But it was really fun though!

We have some Hermit Crabs over at our studio, and susu enjoys disturbing them. Guess she’s trying to be like the hermit when she puts on this very dusty and dirty cone!

Raymond always say when people are in love, they feel happy and so they eat more than usual. Believe it or not, Raymond and I have both gained at least 15KG since we met each other. Like all couples, we have our fair share of squabbles, went through the rough patches and sweet adventures together. But at the end of the day we both know how we love and feel for each other, and I guess that’s what glues us together all these years. The 5 seconds of action to re-think of the very reason what made us love each other really helps to chase away the squabbling monsters. So we should never take today’s squabble to the next day, and I think that’s very important for all couples too! :)

Evidence of that extra 15kg! Yi Yor and Xiao Yi Yor said these are skin… I beg to differ! FATS!

Raymond’s turn! MUWAHAHAHAHAHA!!

We actually don’t have a lot of time to eat, so how did the weight gain happened right? Guess cos of the very irregular meal intakes and unhealthy lifestyle? Sometimes we skip breakfast, lunch and dinner altogether cos of work, and then we make it all up by having very late night supper! We practically swallow and gobble our food like giant monsters, sometimes we were too hungry to chew properly. So… I guess that explains the major part for the weight gain. =_=”

We attempted one kissing picture the other night when I was too tired to continue with the album layout. So I took a few minutes’ time to disturb him, wondering how will our kissing pictures turned out to be like when it’s our turn to ring the wedding bell. This is how it’ll look like!! Snapped it using his phone!

Or even this! Nice right!? I also attempted to do my hair nicely, but got frustrated cos I thought it’s a waste of time, so I simply braided it from the front. Hehehe.

Okie, now, some real wedding pictures to share!! I picked a few from different weddings which I really like. Hehe. Enjoy!

I like how the balloons hide away half of their faces, adding the element of a supposedly mysterious suspense. But unexpectedly the couple actually stuck out their tongues, which I thought was really awesomely cute! See how the colors and elements adds up to create that feeling of fun and cheekiness? I think it’s pretty cute and it just brings out the couple’s personality which I find is really meaningful! Cos personally I feel that “pre-wedding” photoshoots are most of the time about posing and creating aesthetically pleasing images, but it lacks the meaning of the couple’s love and relationship. I guess different people have their own ideals and perspective. Some might prefer meaningful images, and for some, aesthetically pleasing images! Lucky for couples, there’s a mixture of professional wedding photographers around to cater to your different needs.

Can’t really explain for this one, but the backview of the couple works for me for this. Somehow I feel this image has a pretty strong feel of the couple as two distinct individuals, and I can even feel their personality from this image. Some people might have noticed a reflection of another person in the image. This was actually taken on an Actual Day Wedding, and I thought it looked pretty good! Not exactly the most aesthetically pleasing image, but good enough for me.

Again, the same couple on their actual day. I thought it looked pretty refreshing and I find the idea of this image pretty romantic too. One couple, two individuals, Two windows, One vision. That’s the way it should be!

Aother of my favourite! I like the overall feel of this image. There’s another one with a different cropping where the vines are actually centralised which Raymond liked, but I very much prefer this one!! Just felt that everything falls into place nicely for this one, and I like the mood of them being totally absorbed into their own little world without any cares or restriction. Very fresh colours, with a soft gentle mood. I like!

Tons of other backlogs, and we’re all trying very hard to clear them as soon as we can without sacrificing on the quality. Susu has been really diligent working on the images together with us as well, so do bear with us a little longer k? Cheers!!

Morrison & Rachel’s actual day wedding – 2 & 3 August 09

Hi guys!! A piece of news to share, Raymond has been awarded the Licentiate Master Photographer title by the prestigious Master Photographers Association (The MPA). MPA is the only organisation in UK formed exclusively for full time qualified professional photographers. A short excerpt from the MPA website on what MPA is about;

What is the Master Photographers Association?

The MPA is the premier professional organisation for Wedding, Portrait and Commercial Master Photographers. If you are looking for a wedding, portrait, or commercial photographer in your area, then one of our 1,600 fully qualified members will assure you of the highest professional service.

All qualified members adhere to a strict Code of Conduct and have undergone qualification to at least Licentiate standard. Established in 1952, the MPA is unique in that it only allows full-time professional photographers to remain in membership. Each must have undergone a rigorous assessment of their work – and only then do they appear in our Online Directory.

Really got to hand it to Raymond for bagging this title cos he practically had no time to sit down and properly prepare his prints as much as he wanted to. Imagine he only printed out his works the very morning of the judging day itself, all flustered and chop chop. Luckily he managed to be at the judging session in time although he was one of the very last few candidates. These few weeks have been nothing but hell, churning the images, album layout, setting up of the computer system to make it as stable as possible so that our wedding files are all safe & secure. We desperately need sleep man.

Good thing is, we actually learnt a lot of lesson from this event. We will try to make improvements one step at a time, and hopefully get to see some positive changes not only in our works, but also on our lives. Once again, congratulations to all fellow photographers, and let’s all work harder to produce even better works for all our couples! :D

Christopher and Stephanie – Actual Day Wedding

Backlogs from August!! We managed to clear all editings for the August weddings during the last weekend! Now while Raymond continues with the editing for September weddings + photo shoots for October weddings, I’ll be glued to the monitor accummulating fats around my waist + hips + thighs doing the album layout.

Raymond gives me the hardest work to do – selecting images for the album and designing them as they were my own albums. I find it especially hard to do the selection cos there are simply too many beautiful images I want to put in the album. Which explains why I need a little longer time when it comes to the making of a wedding album. Selection process itself already take up quite some time, and then we’ll need to do some further editings on the selected images for the album before doing the designing to bring out the best of the day’s story. I’m currently working on a few album layout, and I can’t wait to show them to the couple once it’s done!!

Hmm… anyway, here are a few images from Christopher and Stephanie’s actual day wedding held in St Regis. I’m in love with Stephanie’s shoes and gowns, and I’m sure many ladies will share the same sentiment as me!!

Sometimes I can get very long winded, so this time round I’ll try to let the pictures do the talking. Enjoy!
