Happy New Year 2014 to everyone!
The end of Year 2013 was an extremely busy one, shooting on Christmas Day for Bond and Kelly’s wedding, a couple more weddings after that, and we started the New Year shooting Chee Yong and Ye Lian’s wedding! Guess what, Angeline assisted for both these shoots on occasions which held much significance for everyone where they spent it with family and friends. In my entire life of career being a wedding Photographer, the only time she assisted was for some corporate/commercial shoots, and also food shoots as well as pre-wedding photoshoot. For actual day I need her to be in the HQ to oversee everything else that’s happening, to answer enquiries, to back up and do logistic work when my photographers are back for the mid-day break. Also on an actual day, things are happening on a very fast paced, and a moment lost is a moment lost. So if I fail to capture any moment due to the incompetence/negligence of my assistant, I will get really angry with them cos I expect them to always be on the ball and think ahead of me. Thankfully till now nothing of the sort has happened and I pray that it will never happen!
I have also travelled a lot to China (Shanghai, Beijing, Nanjing) for sharing and mentoring sessions with the budding photographers in China and to raise awareness for the Master Photographers Association (MPA) in China.
We still have a lot of backlogs to clear (too much to clear!), a whole lot of new portfolio to share, another whole lot of upcoming shoots to go and Angeline has a line of meet ups with new couples. We haven’t had a day of break so far, and we are certainly looking forward to New Zealand in April this year. Any couples who are keen to join us, do remember to drop us an email to contactme @ raymondphang.com for our three in one promo ya?
Not so sure if we have time to prepare for awards or photography contest this year, but we’ll try!
Our Facebook is now updated even more regularly with actual day photos. Last year when we used to post only pre-wed photos and selective actual day photos, it gave couples the impression that we only do pre-wedding photoshoot. LOL!!! Hope we can get the momentum going!
Alrighty, here’s to a much better year!
